EDITORIAL
General Editorial Tone
Positive, upbeat, mostly youthful, and constructive.
Content We Focus On
Overall, The Better Pakistan, as the name suggests, has a developmental focus.
Entrepreneurship. Environment. Ecology. Diversity. Ethnic and linguistic representation. Storytelling. Handmade Economy. Local stories. Success stories.
The content is a mixture of essays, opinions, news & features, teachings and so on. All content flows from the core theme of increasing hope, positivity, understanding, knowledge, hope, ethics and connections.
Preferred Audience
Constructive people who are focused on creating a collaborative future. People who are self-led and take the lead in representing their languages, regions and cultures.
People We Feature
We are seeking the personality type that is collaborative in nature and has what we call ‘a 21st Century sensibility’–doer, positive, connected, collaborative, progressive and creative. We see urban and rural, lettered or unlettered people equally. Our focus is on merit, not identity. Identity is only seen when ensuring representation and inclusion, so that we can proactively search through sub-groups to find their stories, or hold space or build capacity until a notable contribution is found that we can feature.
How We Find the Stories & People
Initially, we look around the Internet–social media in particular–to find people of interest. This tends to be an organic process of discovery that is dependent on algorithms for discovery and connection. We will also open a link to take in suggestions, observe people in groups, and scan by regions, crafts and other topics. We also use other media sources to find people of interest we may pursue afresh to interview, or may write a secondhand report on until our resources improve.
Fact-Checking vs. Assumption & Goodwill
All stories go through a process of fact-checking and verification using hybrid methods. Posts are not made on goodwill alone. We care for facts more than for prestige, pride and emotion.
Language
At the moment, most content is in English, the language our first writer is most familiar with. We will next feature Urdu, and then other leading languages. We hope to soon install and automatic translation feature for auto-translation, and also invite regional translators to voluntarily (no fee) translate a post into their language. Their version can be posted once technical issues pertaining to the same are sorted out. In time, we hope to create and share content that will be originally written or produced in diverse Pakistani languages. For this, we will depend on reliable volunteer contributors. If you think you are the person, get in touch. (Contact link soon.)
Tone & Vocabulary
Professional, easy-to-read, to-the-point, not manipulative but rather informative, hopeful, emotive without being emotional, compassionate without being gaudy. The content is understanding and empathetic in nature, inclusive in approach and content. There are no taunts, sarcasm, fight, or abuse. There is no rage and rant. There is beatific and warm, gentle suggestion with clarity and firmness. We focus on information and truth, but remove dryness and package our message in bright tones.
Translations
This website now offers an automatic Google Translation of the page in various regional and neighborly nations’ languages (mostly Eastern) through the free version of the GTranslate plugin. Please note that we do not control or write the content of the translations. There are sometimes errors or awkward words and phrases in translations. We will keep looking for best plugins and options. For clarity of reference, please know most content is written in English, and we will identify the original language the content is written in to differentiate between the original and the translation. Thank you.
Editing
Post content may be edited for clarity, typo removal, data updates, or other reasons anytime. If the change is significant or alters important facts, or data is simply updated, a note will be made at the end or start of the post, as the format may be at the time.
AI (Artificial Intelligence)
All articles are freshly-written by humans who love to write. Images and videos may be generated through AI, to represent a concept and also to obtain copyright-safe images. The usage of AI may change with the growth of the website.
Ownership
This site is a project of the Hubb’Allah Knowledge Systems & Arts Management Co., which is a digital assets management company. The business holds and operates several websites commercial and otherwise, created and run on behalf of other businesses, all operated by the owners of Hubb’Allah. We are as of August 1, 2025, not owned by or affiliated with any other person or organization. We do use modern networking technology to engage project-based partners in a transparent fashion in our businesses under and outside the Hubb’Allah Co. umbrella, to the extent that the info does not yield proprietary business methods and standard confidential information. This transparency is voluntary.
Monetization, Business & Offerings
This website offers free content for general readership; there may be levels of specialized or elevated content reserved for paid subscribers. Some of our content is tied to paid and business offerings on this site and beyond, and this is deliberate to construct a media and business ecosphere, catering to various levels of engagement and curiosity by the audience. In future, we may also offer an affiliate program or become affiliate to other networks or businesses. Where this occurs, clear notices will be placed around the website. We take no interest in whether this offends or excites anyone–readers are responsible for their own perceptions and decisions. We trust that we attract the right readers who want to use the offerings that we make available to move forward in life. We are not funded by any government, person, or institution–when and where we depart from this, it will be clearly marked. At the end of the day, readers are treated as adults in charge of their emotions and decisions, while we provide plenty of guides and information, such as this page. Thank you.
Usage of Open Source/External Content
Updated August 06, 2025:
The Better Pakistan website and ecosphere will be making use of external media, content, links and resources as long as the usage is fair and non-violating. This includes embedding YouTube videos, or using images that are free to use, or inserting links to other websites and blogs. It should be generally understood that this content is not our property or creation, and the interlinkages are developed to weave our website and project into the interwebs, and develop a healthy interaction. It also means that we are able to use external information, mostly for educational purpose. This external usage could be exchanged at times for in-house resources and content, where our own resources become available and it makes sense to use them. We will be linking both Pakistani and international content. Please know that we are considering turning our site into a site where content is funneled in from partners, at least for some part. A larger part will be original content–or at least the editorial structure and curation of it.
The owner and designer of The Better Pakistan project, Ramala Hubb’Allah has long been fascinated with co-created projects, multi-vendor marketplaces, multi-creator blogs and channels. As we have developed our Policy, Values, and Post Categories, it has become increasingly clear that this project is best served through the funneling of the voices, content and creation of multiple creators. Note that this co-creation is slightly different from using open-source content such as YouTube videos without formal permission.
The policy in this regards is being defined and will be updated as it clarifies.
Notes on Bias
For stories to be featured here, the span of human attention matters. We cannot divine or come to know of incidents that are beyond our reach and attention. It is likely that stories we feature are based on the events we are proximal to, since we do not at this stage (July 2025) have a budget to travel to explore stories. The website will however install a feature for story suggestion. When websites like these become popular, stories begin flooding to them and our own knowledge and connections improve, which increases the likelihood of more extensive and diverse coverage, and reduction of bias. If you think we need to know a story or person, suggest them. Featuring them is not guaranteed, and depends a great deal on energy, capacity and our ability to find healthy sources to do verification from, which is part of our process. We do a hybrid form of verification using the web, intuition, contacts and other methods to arrive at a conclusion. Regards.
Errors of Omission and Commission
Omission on our part is never a matter of prejudice, but always a matter of capacity, queuing or capacity. In other words, it may take time to come to a certain region or subject, since we start somewhere and grown from there. We also do not feature hearsay or stories found through weak lines of transmission.
Changes
The contents of this website and Policy can change any time at the discretion of The Better Pakistan. Interested readers are advised to stay up-to-date. Thank you.
BOUNDARIES, CLARITY, CONFLICT RESOLUTION
What We Won’t Feature
Hatred. Competitive and aggressive behavior. Personal & party stances and grievances, until personal & party somehow align with our editorial and content while not leaning towards a party or person. (I.e. they make a contribution to, not a take-away from the Collective.)
What We Understand and Don’t Feature
In most cases, specific rights issues where there are conflicting stances–and political stances and stories. We also may not cover on-going conflicts, or contradictory stances, as well as State directives or people’s narrative or stakeholder narrative.
By continuing to use this website, we are going to assume that you agree with Our Policy and the contents of the website. In case of discomfort or misalignment: Close Tab, and find something that suits you. We wish you the best. Regards.
